Love Stage!! (trigger warnings apply proceed with caution) Anime Review

 its been a while but i am back with another anime review! i was looking for a short anime i could finish in one night and i found Love Stage!!

so our story follows Izumi Sena, a introverted manga nerd guy who's big dream is to become a manga artist. Varying drastically from his showbiz family with an actress mother, singer father and a rockstar older brother. The only time he's ever been in the spotlight was in a commercial for a wedding magazine when he was eight where he was cross-dressing as a little girl. His co-star Ryouma Ichijou, was smitten with Izumi from when they were children to a decade after the commercial, where the magazine wants to make a 10th anniversary ad staring the original actors. The two reunite but Ryouma uncovers that Izumi is not a girl, but in fact a boy. Knowing the girl he'd been in love with for a whole decade was actually a boy shocked him but didn't quite rid him of his feelings..

thats pretty much the gist of it. credits to me for that long ass plot summary. but anyway! this is a bl anime and i thought it could be interesting and its also only ten episodes so why not

Rating: 5/10 i did like it but SOME things rlly threw me off (we will get to it in a second)

but! what i did enjoy was the protagonist Izumi is very loveable since he's very sweet and shy and nerdy like his brother bribed him with a body pillow of his fave manga girl(?) Lala Lulu but he's not weird hes pretty chill. I also love his passion to become a manga artist even if he sucks at drawing. and Rei, the family's manager was also pretty cool. he was strict but he cared and he was sweet and a undercover twink apparently. i also liked the kinda slice of life shoujo rom com vibe we had even though im not too big on that stuff

alright now lets talk abt the bad stuff

SPOILER ALERT AND TRIGGER WARNING FOR SA (yeah.)

yeah literally Ryouma SAs Izumi after seeing how beautiful he is without his glasses and he stopped caring that he was a boy and just goes for it. literally this could been a rlly good anime but who tf thought it was a good idea to put that shit in there and poor Izumi was so depressed after it god that pissed me right off

another thing that was weird was the obvious fan service for Izumi like no i dont want to see this dudes torso or his legs or anything for that matter

problem is that this was probably made for the people who have fetishes for this but if we removed all the weird shit it couldve been rlly good. i like the basis of it especially Izumi's struggle to become a manga artist and the 'everyone starts somewhere dont give up' message that was great and Ryouma was a very nice guy he just really shouldnt have done that which ruined his image of him for me. 

this really couldve been something but the directors or producers fucked it all up

im just so upset bc i could see myself really liking this show if it werent for this bs. and its not like it added to the plot either it just really was not necessary at all

and idc if they're 'not real people' its still disgusting and my heart goes out to anyone who has had to go through that.

i cant even put favicons on this b/c i dont feel happy go lucky cus this is serious but thank you so much for reading, i will definitely do more research next time on whatever i watch but i wanted to make this anyway in case it helps anyone get a synopsis of what they're going into if they decide to watch it so no one gets jumpscared like i did

I'm writing this on my phone so let's if anything's different that's why (ok well i had to use my comp anyway cus trying to do this on my tablet was way too hard)

today I went to the mall with gaby and cameron!! q(≧▽≦q)  it was very fun but we all were super tired at the end cus we were walking all day  all of Cameron’s siblings were there too which was nice since his little brothers are sweet

I accidentally ordered a twelve count nuggets instead of eight bc I forgot they asked u that at chick fil a so I just said whatever number she said first and i was very full and also they put something in their lemonade and it always makes me weirdly full for some reason

I also bought this kuromi plush keychain and I kinda regret cus it was 20 dollars and idek i regret but I also rlly like it so i guess it’s okay

and Cameron is so indecisive tell me why we go to miniso and he’s deliberating gettinf this cup and he says ‘no I won't get it..’ he was making me hurry tf out the other kawaii store to go back to miniso cus he decided he wanted it like two hours later.

I also rlly wanted to buy a ironic graphic tee but I know good and well I will never use it and I don't want to buy stuff I won't use but maybe in another world

yesterday I was really craving a midnight snack and there was chicken pie in the fridge and I was dying of hunger but I was being a chicken (pun intended ig) and I was scared of going downstairs in the dark while everyone was asleep so I practiced my delayed gratification or wtv you call it and I wanted until morning!

me and amira were also calling and she was doing her nails and it was giving me ptsd from when I used to do my nails I'm not joking it genuinely used to make me so frustrated I felt her struggle too hard anw I missed her

 hihihiiii everyone! i hope you've been well! 

i hope you all had a great Christmas and got lots of presents and ate lots of food! im very happy i get to share this Christmas with y'all! if you don't celebrate Christmas i hope you had a great day regardless!

i spent a very long time building a little gingerbread village today and i think it turned out nice i was so sad cus my fav house (far left) kept breaking and the roof would not stickbut it looked so cool i was gonna do a over top view of all them since i realized the roofs are the best part but it had already broken so :(

for christmas i got a animal crossing lego set i forgot to take a picture after i was finished but thats what its supposed to look like

my mom said that we were gonna buy a second gift for me and this was the perfect opportunity to beg for my third piercing and i think were getting through to her  but i also rlly want some more pokemon plushies 

christmas eve was nice we had a barbeque and it was great i had so many wings SO many wings  i also was the one who cut the wings so i have a career at kfc coming up 

and today we had a slow cooked/roast beef and its sooooo yummy i like eating it with noodles with the broth and the potatoes that we roasted with it were soooooooo good i ate a lot so idk how long those leftovers will last

also kai instagram????? that was our christmas gift all along i better see those twink in bed thrist traps kai does on their vlogs or else kai. it was so funny i was freaking out so hard and my bf was like 'alice what happened' HYUKA INSTAGRAMMMM HAPPENED!!!
