Ghost Stories (2000) review ┌(。Д。)┐

 

helloooo!! im making another anime review cus Ghost Stories is unironically one of my top 3 animes cus its so damn funny

i watched it a while ago but i rly like making these so im gonna make another this is my blog i do what i want okay:(

the show went viral and honestly it still is for how funny the english dub is. and thats absolutely correct this show cracks me up. dont come here saying the humor is corny cus it is not its actually fucking hilarious  

i overall rate it a 8.5/10 cus like ive said fifteen times its hilarious but i had to take a few points off for the ending

if you're thinking abt watching it you rlly should cus it really IS funny (i swear this is the last time i say that) but other than that the plot is actually pretty good in my opinion

without going into too much detail, its basically about how a bunch a kids release like the evil spirits of their old schoolhouse and now they have to defeat them using this book one of the characters' mother left (i think since i havent watched in a while i'll pull up a real description in a sec)

"After nearby construction disturbs some resting spirits, a group of school kids and a possessed cat must fight them in their neighborhood."

yeah i think mine was better but anyway all the ghost stories were actually pretty interesting and fun to watch. there was also some like romance going on between Satsuki and Hajime (red hair girl and black haired boy) but nothing ever happened since they're in like 5th grade

the reason i didnt like the ending was cus it was so random? it wasnt random but it definitely didnt match up with the rest

the whole gang kinda splits up for some reason and they get their cat back and theres no more spirits so yeah a pretty boring ending. i was just mad the gang broke up cus they were honestly legendary

So that was my review of Ghost Stories!! i really liked that anime, my friends and i have a lot of inside jokes surrounding it

Fruits Basket review!!! ヾ(๑╹ꇴ◠๑)ﾉ”

 hellooo!!! for my first blog post i decided i'd do a review on my all time favorite anime, FRUITS BASKET!!!!!!! 

just to be clear im referring to the 2019 anime not the one from the 2000s since according to my friend that recommended fruits basket to me, 'the old one sucks' 

i think overall i'd give it a 10/10 (TOTALLy not biased) since i think in terms of every category they did AMAZING!!! just wish those age gaps weren't so... lets just say prominent. but thats my only complaint really!

i wont be all like "EVERYONE SHOULD WATCH IT, ITS SO PEAK!" i love this anime sm dont get me wrong but its definitely not everyones cup of tea so if you might be considering watching, let me warn/explain a bit about it before you actually dive in so you dont waste your time!

first of all, its a shoujo anime and ik a lot of people find those boring (like me but i can make a few exceptions) and its also REALLY sad. not gonna spoil exactly when it gets super sad BUT let me tell you its just straight misery for like 3-4 episodes (again not exposing what season they are) i cried so hard watching my voice was insanely shaky after. like even an hour or two after i stopped crying and was completely calm, i sounded like i was breaking down. it was really annoying but also rlly funny

also trigger warning a big part of the plot has to do with child abuse so stay away if that upsets you (it shattered me so hard cus no one deserves that)

the plot is also built on the chinese zodiacs which is actually super interesting. i really liked that whole aspect and the characters are also all so cute!

and back to the whole age gaps thing there some really lets jsut say bad ones. it may be because im a renowned age gap HATER. no i dont wanna see a 20 year old get with a 15 year old thanks. and also you MIGHTTTTTT. get SOME let me be clear. SOME semblance of incest. none of the couples are related but like.. how are you gonna fuck a guy thats almost your father figure. weird but NOT actual incest and thankfully it's with like the characters nobody likes so wtv. im just really picky abt that stuff so if you are too, be warned.

from the way i was explaining it made the anime sound really traumatizing but it's actually not that bad since all the misery is spread out through the seasons so dw it wont all hit you at once!

so that was my review of the 2019 Fruits Basket anime! i definitely wanna do more anime reviews since i really like doing these kinds of things after consuming some form of media (shows, movies, books etc.) and getting my thoughts on paper (well computer but ykw i mean)
